As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the process of drug use therapy at McLaren-Northern Michigan and associated affiliates. This includes the formulary management, appropriate drug for specific patient, the education of the patient, the correct drug dispensed to the person administering the drug and monitoring the patient for the effectiveness of the drug and any adverse affects. Must comply with all laws and regulations that pertain to drug use.
Education: Baccalaureate or Pharm D. graduate from a School of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
Education: Current licensure by the State of Michigan as a pharmacist. Current Controlled Substance licensure valid in the State of Michigan.
Experience: None required.
Other Job Requirements: Hand/eye coordination, finger dexterity, standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching and operating machinery in excess of 75% of the time, lift 40lbs. is required, see clearly and read directions and orders, distinguish color to ensure the proper dispensing of medications, abide by hospital policy regarding confidential patient information.
