The EMS programs encompass a portfolio-based competency model which provides a framework and evaluations system to document psychomotor competency and augments and enhances Paramedic education programs. The Coordinator will design and provide all training sessions for full-time and adjunct faculty who have responsibility in psychomotor settings of our curriculum. Will maintain electronic and paper portfolios for each student and attest to their competency in order to write for the exam. Assist in the writing of the self-study and site visits for maintaining our education. QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma plus ten years of full-time experience as an EMS provider on a 911 service with at least three years of experience as a State of Nebraska EMS instructor. Required certifications include:
National Registered Paramedic certification, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience including part time considered. Valid driver's license and insurability to drive College vehicles is required. Hours to include daytime, evening, and weekends as necessary to meet program objectives and student outcomes. Hiring process includes a background check. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval. NOTE:
