PAREXEL has a great part time opportunity for a (Maryland) Licensed Nurse (RN/BSN) to fill our Clinical Research Nurse position in our Baltimore location. This position is currently a temporary role with a 20-30 hour a week (core hours from 11am 3pm).The Clinical Research Nurse job focus is to Organize, coordinate, and execute a variety of specialized clinical research activities. Ensure that established protocols are implemented and followed according to GCP and ICH standards. Collect and organize research data. Educate trial participants about treatments, possible side effects, and complications. Assess and monitor trial participant status and safety. For patient studies, educate and support patients and family members. Institute emergency procedures as necessary.QualificationsSuccessful candidates must possess the following skill and education/experience Excellent organizational and communication skills. Demonstrate attention to detail. Be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to provide emergency care. Comprehensive assessment skills. Provide client and trial participant focused approach to work. Flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new challenges. Manage multiple and competing priorities and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload. Excellent management skills. Willingness to work in a complex environment and to value the importance of teamwork. Phlebotomy skills.Knowledge and Experience: Proficiency working with computers and various software applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, the World Wide Web and electronic mail. Minimum Work Experience: At least 3 year related experience. Familiarity with research process is highly desirable.Education: Registered nurse (RN), licensed in the State of Maryland. BSN preferred. BLS and ACLS certification.
