Under the general guidance of the Pharmacy Manager, the Clinical Staff Pharmacist helps to provide safe, appropriate, and cost- effective medication therapy to patients with hematologic or oncologic diseases. The Clinical Staff pharmacist works in both the inpatient adult hematology-oncology unit and also in the outpatient Norris Cotton Cancer Center. The inpatient adult population includes patients with mainly hematologic malignancies and those receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Outpatients include a wide spectrum of hematologic and solid malignancies, including pediatrics. Additionally, the Clinical Staff Pharmacist will participate in care of adults and pediatric patients on clinical trials.

The Clinical Staff Pharmacist evaluates and processes chemotherapy and supportive care orders. This includes reference review, evaluation of clinical information, and order processing. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist oversees chemotherapy production and checking. There is opportunity for the Clinical Staff Pharmacist to participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication use evaluations.

The Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy: Pharm D preferred. Current NH licensure is also required. Must have demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, with the ability to set priorities and make critical decisions. Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated interpersonal and team skills are essential. Full time 40 hours Day
