Department: Homeless Svcs (Wellness Prog)
JOB SUMMARY: The Wellness Clinical Supervisor/Program Coordinator is responsible for acting as a liaison between administrative and clinical staff in that program. Additional responsibilities include: maintaining a minimal client caseload, providing group therapy, and coordination/supervision of positions in the program.
REQUIREMENTS: Program/Degree completion in social work or psychology from an accredited school. One (1) year of post-graduate experience in clinical social work or equivalent related field. One (1) year successful supervisory and administrative experience in a community mental health setting; or the ability to provide supervision and administration. Must be skilled with Los Angeles County DMH paperwork. Must be skilled in running groups. Must be able to work autonomously. Licensed in California as a LCSW or Ph.D.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Ability to work and relate effectively with multidisciplinary treatment team, clients and the public. Demonstrated ability to make treatment decisions and work independently when circumstances warrant, use good judgment, and remain calm in crisis situations. Understanding of individual, group, and family psychotherapy and dynamics and community services. Proven ability to work with adult clients and possess the ability to recognize service needs of adults age (18-64) as well as geriatric adults age (65 and over). Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated clinical supervisory and administrative abilities necessary to direct professional and paraprofessional staff. Full Time Day Shift
