Job Summary:
The Clinical System Analyst (CSA) II has advanced knowledge of oncology experience as a pharmacist or nurse and ability to apply that knowledge to clinical information systems. The CSA II has a basic knowledge of the functions and applications of clinical information systems and will be an integral part of the EPIC clinical team. Travel to Wisconsin and completion of EPIC certification required. Role includes system design, build, validation, collaboration with clinical end users, support for go-live and ongoing maintenance.
Essential Generic Job Functions (List in order of importance):
1. Analyzes, designs and researches clinical information systems and processes.
2. Analyzes customer requirements; researches, designs, acquires and implements innovative systems.
3. Evaluates and revises existing clinical information systems.
4. Provides analysis and advanced support including hardware maintenance, trouble shooting, and maintenance of software.
5. Plans and presents customer training sessions
6. Plans, schedules and coordinates organizational, operational and systems conversions.
7. Participates in planning of customer training sessions.
8. Develops and presents oral and written communications to project teams and other departments
9. Conducts continuing education sessions and new employee training.
10. Precepts CSA I.
11. Coordinates and operationalizes simple to complex projects with direction.
12. Optimizes departmental and interdisciplinary resources to maximize team.
13. Initiates, writes and evaluates system, operational and department documentation.
14. Identifies areas for procedural improvements.
15. Provides detailed specifications describing functions to be automated
16. Provides on-call support for clinical applications
17. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
FULL TIME DAYS - ROTATION AS NEEDED
WEEKENDS AS NEEDED
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
* Bachelor's degree
* Epic Certification in clinical application within 6 months.
* 3 years of pharmacy oncology or chemotherapy administration experience.
Education Preferred:
* Master's degree, EPIC Certification in Beacon
Preferred Certification/Licensing:
* Certification (ANCC Nursing Informatics, Project Management, CPHIMS)
