JOB DESCRIPTIONDescription/Job Summary
RHD is seeking a Clinician for its Mainstay residential program located in New Jersey. The program currently supports three individuals in a home in Browns Mills, NJ, and will soon support an additional eight individuals living in two additional homes. The
position is full-time. We are looking for a dedicated, interactive recovery oriented clinician that demonstrates initiative and has experience working with individuals with MH diagnoses as well as with those with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate
will have experience working with individuals with problematic and/or sex offending behavior.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: the creation and ongoing maintenance of an environment that fosters a functional therapeutic milieu and is conducive to the personal safety, growth and development of all consumers and staff; the training
of all direct care staff to ensure competency and proficiency in support of this specific client population; the provision of clinical services as part of a specialized and dedicated staff team including assessments and treatment plans; completing clinical
risk and needs assessments; providing recovery oriented sex offender specific individual, family and group therapy for service recipients; completion of documentation meeting clinical and state requirements.
The successful applicant must have strong organizational, clinical and interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of the larger clinical, residential and administrative team and operate consistently in accordance with the RHD
A Masters or Doctorate Degree in psychology, social work, or related human services field is required.
Professional license in NJ required.
Valid Driver's License required.
Prior work experience (minimum of 3 years) dealing directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health issues required for consideration. Experience working with individuals with problematic sexual behaviors is required.
Those with experience working in community based residential programs will be given preference.
