Job Overview:

Are you able to make sense of the most complex technical problems in the data center navigating through server, network, storage and security issues with ease while your coworkers fumble through manuals and you pick up their slack? In this role you will support the hardware, OS and hypervisor infrastructure on our cloud services in a coordinated effort with storage, networking, database & security staff. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing team that manages data centers worldwide by advancing server configuration automation.

Responsibilities:

* Develop\Maintain scripts to automate server management tasks

* Provide constructive feedback on server architecture and procedures

* Take an active and insightful role in group discussions

* Troubleshooting hardware, storage networking, hypervisor and other related system issues

* Perform administration for server infrastructure including:

* Build/rebuild requests, log monitoring and hardware performance monitoring

* Regular maintenance of system and environment documentation

* Provide physical support and troubleshooting for server equipment

* Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.

Education, Experience & Training required:

* Bachelor Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent years of work experience

* 2+ years in a technically related field

* Ability to pass a background check.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

* Experience with at least one advanced scripting language

* Experience administering Windows Server 2008 R2, ESX and Hyper-V

* Experience performing incident response in mission critical production environments

* Experience implementing, and maintaining system infrastructure components

* Experience in cable management techniques

* Excellent communication and documentation skills utilizing MS Word, MS Excel and Visio

* Ability to perform after hours, shift work, and be on call via pager during designated periods
