The Vinoy(R) Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club located at 501 Fifth Avenue, St. Petersburg, FL, 33701 is currently hiring a Club Memberships Sales Manager. Club Memberships Sales Manager: Functions as the leader of the propertys club membership sales efforts. Manages the propertys reactive and proactive membership sales efforts. Shares responsibility for achieving revenue and member/associate satisfaction goals. Responsible for site visits and property tours with potential members. Provides, distributes and maintains database of members and prospect members, companies and contacts. Achieves personal sales goals. Supports the Director of Club Memberships in developing, facilitating, and coordinating Club Membership program. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Required: · High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional. OR · 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required. Preferred: · 2-year degree and 2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, or related professional area · Previous experience in hospitality, private club and sales discipline. · Knowledge of property-specific business segments (e.g. group, catering, transient). · Knowledge of Marriott and hospitality industry. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES The Club Membership Sales Manager will take direction from the Director of Club Memberships and Director of Sales & Market on pulling through business to sell Club Memberships. Overall, the position is accountable for the following: · Provides positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential. · Participates in sales calls to acquire new business and/or close on business · Keeps Director of Club Memberships informed about leads, customer feedback, and referrals. · Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked. · Works collaboratively to ensure sales efforts are coordinated and on strategy. · Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities. · Understand the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. · Assist in developing list of neighborhood targets to contact and include relevant local or property intelligence to assist with call · Review and leverage business intelligence provided by Sales & Marketing Planning and Support when necessary. · Build and maintain rapport with internal stakeholders. · Maintain up-to-date lead/account information. · Track weekly activities and relationship to club membership sales. · Communicate with internal/external customers as directed. · Responsible for setting day-today priorities to complete assigned responsibilities. There may be significant variation in daily workload which requires constant, independent prioritization. Must be proficient at multi-tasking, shifting priorities as directed by supervisor or business needs. · Perform other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
