JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The Asset Management Group is responsible for the management of the $6+ BILLION PORTFOLIO of assets on behalf of SolarCity s investment funds. The objectives of the group are to deploy and manage assets in accordance with investor and operational needs.

The Collection Specialist collaborates with Accounts Receivable team to establish reason for past due account situation. The candidate contacts the customer, and makes arrangements for payments to bring account current and follows up to ensure obligation is satisfied. A high degree of independent judgement is required to evaluate each situation and determine how best to manage each collection case.

This person will manage relationships with external stakeholders and must be able to lead critical collections situations to resolution. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: assist with reporting, check processing and any other task related to accounts receivable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform collection calls in a fast paced goal oriented collections department
Prepare and mail written delinquency notices
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts
Process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts.
Other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor s degree preferred
2 to 5 years experience in collections
FDCPA knowledge a plus
Ability to prioritize and multi-task, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to change
Knowledge of MS Office, with ability to learn new software/tools with minimal supervision
Detail-oriented, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to positively and effectively interact with internal and external customers
Regular, reliable and predictable performance required
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal screen. Additional pre-employment driving and drug screens may be required based on job responsibilities
