College Intern - Electric Supply Unit (BGE)

Electric Supply is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing all aspects associated with structured competitive bulk power acquisitions and spot market purchases to meet BGE's obligations to supply electric Standard Offer Service (SOS). Such aspects include, but are not limited to, energy purchases, capacity purchases, ancillary service purchases, transmission purchases, Financial Transmission Rights purchases and Renewable Energy Certificates purchases. Electric Supply also performs advocacy, analysis, and management activities for BGE associated with the PJM capacity and energy markets.
Intern will provide support with: data analysis, invoicing, process development and documentation, program development and testing, and other relevant special projects. This position works closely with BGE employees with diverse backgrounds including engineering, finance, economics, information technology, and accounting.
Successful candidate must currently be enrolled at an accredited college and majoring in a technical discipline, finance, accounting, or information technology.
