JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Combat Arms and Munitions Officer will assist in the management of the combat arms program and ground munitions requirements, authorizations, forecasting and allocations within the U. S. Air Force Security Forces functional community. This position provides advice, information and guidance for the AFSFC/SFX.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists the Combat Arms Program Manager with Munitions management, Combat Arms, Small Arms / Light Weapons (SA/LW) Training Development and Firing Range business practices.
Assists the Munitions User Functional Manager (MUFM) for the Security Forces functional community with munitions management business practices.
Analyzes data, and validates the munitions forecasts and allocations.
Collaborates with Subject Matter Expert (SME) and point of contact on all issues regarding ground munitions, SA/LW, and the use of non-lethal munitions for all functional areas.
Provides guidance and management to unit level CA sections who instruct and qualify AF personnel on SA/LW marksmanship and fundamentals.
Contributes and provides insight for authoring AF SA/LW qualification training programs, procedures and guidance.
Reviews AF small arms range major renovations, new construction and deviation requests.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four (4) years relevant USAF Security Forces operational experience, which includes Combat Arms Program, Air Force Firing Ranges, Training Development and Air Force munitions forecasting procedures. Bachelor's degree preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Must be U.S. born or naturalized citizen due to government or federal requirement
DoD Secret Security Clearance required
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Knowledge and understanding of the combat arms program and ground munitions requirements, authorizations, forecasting, and allocations within the Security Forces functional community
Knowledge and understanding of appropriate documents to derive munitions requirements for their functional area
In-depth knowledge of DoD, Joint and Air Force security publications
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to create / review / edit briefing materials and other correspondence intended for senior level leadership
Skill in solving complex technical and/or procedural problems
Ability to develop effective working relationships and to work in a team environment
Solid organizational and leadership skills relevant to carrying out day-to-day responsibilities
Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to effectively multi-task
Solid computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Windows, Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
