Commerce Bank is seeking a highly motivated and goal oriented commercial banking professional to join our Commerce Bank team as a Relationship Manager. As a member of the Business Banking team, the Relationship Manager is key to developing and expanding Commerce Bank's relationships and overall business success. The Relationship Manger is responsible for acquiring, retaining and expanding relationships with commercial customers by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate solutions for the customer.



Additional responsibilities include:

*Create and maintain a pipeline of business banking sales opportunities/relationships through multiple prospecting/business development techniques

*Develop close partnerships with multiple groups throughout Commerce Bank to assist acquiring new or expand existing relationships

*Collaborate with product partners throughout Commerce Bank to develop tailored solutions and strategies for each client or prospect

*Critically analyze financial information provided by customers to determine appropriate opportunities to pursue

*Partner with credit officers and representatives on credit requests and adhere to established credit guidelines

*Monitor customer financial performance and industry trends to manage exposures and credit risks appropriately

*Manage a loan portfolio of $10MM to $30MM



Education Requirements:

*Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field is required or equivalent job experience



Preferred applicants will have:

*5-8 years minimum of business banking experience with proven ability to develop new and existing customer relationships

*Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent credit experience

*Experience with commercial and alternative lending and financial solutions

*Strong business acumen, to include detailed understanding and ability to analyze financial statements

*Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)

*Strong negotiation skills

*Effective relationship development and management abilities

*Experience using prospecting tools and CRM sales tools is highly preferred
