EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
-------------------------
Associates degree in Telecommunication, Computer Science, technical field or equivalent with one (1) year work experience in support of unified communications in an IT environment OR High School diploma or GED equivalent and three (3) years work experience in support of unified communications in an IT environment.
System administration experience in a large digital voice communications environment and some working experience with data and wireless communications preferred. Working experience with Siemens PBX HiPath switch, OSV, servers and voice messaging systems are preferred.

JOB DUTIES

Diagnose and troubleshoot basic telephone and data failures; dispatch unresolved issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution; process electronic orders for entry level moves, adds and changes.
Provide entry level training to customers on software features and services; maintain the PhoneGuide live database for faceplate printing.
Generate and process service tickets in HEAT in accordance to departmental service levels; clearly document all customer issues and their resolution; follow all infrastructure process and procedures and escalate all customer issues as quickly as possible.
Plans and coordinates small departmental moves and small construction projects; reviews completed TELforms and update analysts and databases as needed; maintain information database and documentation.
Develop and write procedures for installation, use and troubleshooting of communications hardware and software.
Provide assistance to other team members when needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
