Rush University Medical Center is looking for a communications intern to help the HR internal communications manager do all those things.
This position will provide the intern with an opportunity to enhance (or just show off) his or her outstanding communication skills -- especially writing. The intern will, under the supervision of the HR Communications Manager, work on a wide variety of communications projects, including executive speeches and presentations, online communications, marketing materials and many other communications vehicles.
The intern will have high visibility within the HR department, including opportunities to work closely with senior executives. The Intern must exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Assist with HR communication strategy and tactics to support critical HR-developed and led initiatives.
Draft and edit both print and online communication materials
Support and help organize HR town hall meetings
Create newsletters, proofread documents, fact-checks, and edit communications
Collaborate and consult with various HR teams on a variety of projects.
Bachelor s degree required. Possession of advance degree, or enrollment in advanced degree program preferred
Bachelor of Arts degree with a humanities emphasis, or one year of experience in corporate communications
Strong writing abilities, editing and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple, complex projects required.
Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines.
