The Communications and Correspondence Lead is accountable for the day-to-day oversight and operations of the UCLA Family Health Center Call Center and Correspondence Unit (CCCU) as well as overall project & quality management in the UCLA Family Health Center. This position is accountable to the Practice Manager of the UCLA Family Health Center.


REQUIRED: This position requires the incumbent to have experience in leading and managing projects, working collaboratively with department leadership, peers and staff. The incumbent must possess excellent oral and written communication to effectively work with all levels of the health care team including physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, senior management, and other key stakeholders. The individual for this position must have attained intermediate to masterly level technical skills, be highly organized and able to set priorities in an environment where priorities may change hour to hour but the end result of expected outcomes need to be achieved on a daily basis. Further, this position is not only accountable for meeting all performance excellence metrics for ambulatory practices but to develop the Administrative Assistants for the unit in order to ensure that all activities in the CCCU meet daily, weekly and monthly metrics. The incumbent must have at least 3 years of experience in leading a project in a healthcare setting, and at least one year of working in an abulatory clinic settingt.
