KEY OBJECTIVES:

1. ASSIST WITH THE TRANSITION OF COMMUNITY/BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES TO AN INTERNAL TTC DEPARTMENT.

2. BRIDGE COMMUNICATION GAP BETWEEN SOCIAL INNOVATION D&I/PHILANTHROPIC ACTIVITIES AND CORP. COMM UTILIZING TRADITIONAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA.

3. ASSIST WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL INNOVATION STRATEGY THAT ALIGNS WITH THE TTC 2020 VISION. I.E. ATTRACT/RETAIN TOP TALENT.

4. PROJECT LEAD TO EXECUTE STRATEGIC OUTREACH AND COMMUNICATION.

SOCIAL INNOVATION

BOARD MEMBERSHIP: EXEC. STRATEGY/TRAINING

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT: DEPLOYS INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION CHANNELS, MESSAGING AND STORYTELLING TO INFORM, ENGAGE AND ALIGN STAKEHOLDERS.

SE MICHIGAN STRATEGY ADMINISTRATION

CORPORATE CONTRIBUTION COMMITTEE (I.E. SCHEDULE, DONATION REQUESTS, AGENDA, HOST MEETING)

DINNER JOURNAL/ADVERTISEMENT

SPONSOR/DONATION CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION.

EVENT ATTENDEES/TICKET DISTRIBUTION

BUS. PARTNERING GROUP COLLABORATION

COMMUNITY EVENT LOGISTICS (ATTENDEES, PHOTOGRAPHER, LOCAL PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT, INTERNAL/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS)

CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

WRITING, EDITING & POSITIONING STORIES.

SOCIAL & DIGITAL MEDIA: ENGAGED WITH SOCIAL AND DIGITAL (IE WEB) MEDIA AND UNDERSTANDS THAT SOCIAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA EFFORTS ARE A SIGNIFICANT PART OF THE COMPANY'S ECOSYSTEM THAT DRIVES BRAND LOYALTY, REPUTATION AND GROWTH.

ISSUES/REPUTATION MANAGEMENT: UNDERSTANDS THE IMPORTANCE OF MANAGING ISSUES THAT IMPACT THE COMPANY.

BRAND MARKETING: UNDERSTANDS BRAND PERSONALITY OR ESSENCE AND CONSISTENTLY DELIVERS BRAND COMPLIANCE WITH ANY AND ALL COMMUNICATION PLATFORMS.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES COLLABORATION WITH THE TMNA LOCATIONS TO IMPROVE INDUSTRY RELATIONS IN THE DETROIT AREA AND RAISE TOYOTA'S PROFILE VIA EARNED MEDIA PLACEMENTS.

UNDERSTANDS STANDARDS FOR WRITTEN AND ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND APPLIES APPROPRIATELY FOR DIFFERENT MEDIA CHANNELS.

ENGAGED WITH SOCIAL AND DIGITAL (IE WEB) MEDIA AND UNDERSTANDS THAT SOCIAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA

PLANNING/PROJECT MANAGEMENT: UNDERSTANDS CURRENT MEDIA/COMMUNICATION PLANNING METHODS, TRENDS AND BEST PRACTICES

MUST HAVES:

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in journalism, communications or a closely related field

Extensive experience developing communications campaigns for internal and external audiences

Excellent writing and verbal communications skills

Excellent ability to collaborate and build consensus at all levels of the organization

Keen attention to detail and accuracy while operating under tight deadlines

Knowledge and understanding of performance measurement tools and how they can inform content and program development

Strong ability to build trusted relationships across the all levels of the company, manage teams and drive projects to completion

PREFERRED:

Strong understanding of Toyota's operations and ability to quickly identify sources of information across many different divisions
