JOB DESCRIPTIONPosting Title
The Compensation Manager will be responsible for establishing Black Box s overall compensation philosophy and strategy. This position plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies, procedures, in order to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. This individual assures that the organization s compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with policies and government regulations.
Model compensation cost implications, identify trends, and make recommendations for senior management.
Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures to recommend revisions to compensation programs consistent with compensation trends and business objectives.
Coordinate implementation of new/updated procedures, policies, and processes, and provide guidance to internal and external business partners.
Provide recommendations to management on pay decisions, policy/guideline interpretation and job evaluations.
Provide guidance and decision-making with regard to compensation alternatives and/or recommendations.
Design appropriate metrics and monitor effectiveness of compensation policies, guidelines and procedures.
Assess current salary practices while working collaboratively to update the design of compensation structures, job families, and job leveling.
Support the design, development, management, and analysis of incentive plans, policies and processes to support the organization s business strategy.
Manage the annual merit process, bonus payout, structure review, and salary survey participation.
Keep apprised of compensation laws and regulations and market practices.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related field required.
7+ years progressive compensation experience.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a complex, fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
Knowledge and understanding of business processes and basic corporate finance, management and accounting principles.
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management and planning skills.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
