Compliance Analyst Transaction Analysis

In this position, you will monitor activities of assigned areas, specifically related to the PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act and internal Anti Money Laundering program to ensure compliance with applicable internal policies, procedures and external regulations.


Primary responsibilities include:

* Reviews system generated reports of transactions and investigation of account activity for potentially suspicious activity, including structuring and high risk wire activity, etc. from inception to completion.

* Provides suspicious activity report recommendations and drafts suspicious activity reports.

* Performs reviews of existing compliance program to ensure adherence to the program.

* Communicates directly with the Bank s business personnel regarding general compliance regulations and account activity, including BSA and know your customer requirements, and provides ad hoc advice as necessary.

* Conducts enhanced due diligence research/continuing due diligence and completes reports.

* Assists with the Bank s compliance risk assessment program, as well as enhanced due diligence reviews.

* Carries out the requirements for compliance as directed by Federal and State regulators.



Required skills:

* Minimum of 1 year experience in the compliance department of a financial institution, preferably retail or commercial banking, or in a bank or regulatory work environment.

* Minimum of 1 year of previous hands on experience in transaction monitoring or reviewing and analyzing SARs.

* Demonstration and application of core knowledge of money laundering patterns, BSA and PATRIOT Act, OFAC and other compliance regulations is required.

* Highly motivated self-starter who has the ability to work independently as well as be a team player.

* Knowledge of Actimize, Lexis, PACER a plus.

* Requires excellent verbal and written skills.

* Proficient with Word and Excel.

* A Bachelor s degree is preferred in accounting, finance or business, or comparable degree in criminal justice.
