YOUR IMPACT AS A COMPLIANCE OFFICER, HEALTH & BENEFITS

The Compliance Officer, US Health & Benefits will report to the U.S. H&B Practice Leader with a dotted line report to the Chief Compliance Officer, North America. The position will be responsible for the compliance strategy and program for Health and Benefits in the U.S. and will also be involved with the overall North America compliance strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

HEALTH & BENEFITS

* Chair a H&B Compliance Committee

* Lead compliance work streams for new H&B initiatives

* Partner with the Chief Compliance Officer, North America and the North American and global Compliance team to develop and implement compliance strategy, process, and programs to support the compliance requirements for H&B

* Drive compliance with applicable regulation, including compliance with applicable regulation regarding commission and compensation

* Partner with H&B senior management and with Corporate Compliance to ensure adherence to privacy compliance policies and requirements, including HIPAA

* Partner with Compliance and US H&B Structured Product Solutions (SPS) Leader on Comprehensive Disclosure Statement (CDS) process and compliance responsibilities for SPS and other broking initiatives

* Partner with broking and Legal (Assistant General Counsel, H&B) on carrier compliance management

* Maintain visibility with local H&B offices, ARS Risk Management, & Regional H&B leaders

* Work with US Licensing on ensuring adherence to Licensing requirements

GENERAL

* Work with global Legal and Compliance leadership to shape and drive overall compliance strategy at Aon, both in North America and globally

* Working with other senior North American Compliance leadership and Aon global Public Relations, develop and implement a regulatory strategy for ARS US (including Health & Benefits)

* Develop checks and balances needed to ensure compliance with all applicable Aon monitoring programs.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS



* Significant experience with U.S. health and benefits business, including operational process and regulatory regime

* Strong leadership skills with ability to establish rapport and credibility at all levels of the organization

* Exemplary influencing and negotiating skills combined with a diplomatic and consultative approach

* Excellent communicator

* Proven ability to work cross-culturally and bridge cultural barriers and communicate effectively at both local and global levels

* A team player, enthusiastic, energetic, pro-active, responsive and client focused

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



* 7+ years experience in a compliance, legal, risk or related role, with a focus on benefits or life and health insurance regulation and compliance

* Ability to exercise the highest ethical standards, professional demeanor, and prudent, risk-based business decision making.

* Demonstrated ability to lead and execute across a range of businesses and functions with differing issues and interests

* Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills

* Ability to understand complex regulatory requirements and create effective compliance programs

* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
