This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to work in a professional learning community wherein faculty contribute to and engage in instructional best practice for adult learners in an innovative, non-traditional university setting. br / br / strong Key Job Responsibilities /strong br / Providing a learning environment that supports student success. br / br / Teaching synchronous or asynchronous seminars as assigned by school or program. br / br / Development and posting of the class syllabi in the class Message Board. br / br / Maintaining school-determined virtual office hours per week for each class. br / br / Ensuring timely management and response to electronic correspondence from students, administrators, and other school officials. br / br / Leading message board discussions and engaging students in relevant discussion and coursework. br / br / Partnering with Academic Advisors to address student concerns. br / br / Maintaining and submitting accurate and timely reports for student grades/progress. br / br / Delivering mid-term and final grades to the Registrar's Office according to the academic calendar. br / br / Enforcing student conduct policies as outlined in the University Catalog. br / br / Attending department and faculty meetings. br / br / Additional duties as may be assigned by the School.
br / br / strong Minimum Qualifications /strong br / Doctoral degree in English, Writing, Composition or related field from a regionally accredited institution. br / br / 5 years related experience in the Criminal Justice field. br / br / Microsoft Office suite. Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications and adobe connect meeting technology. br / br / Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision. /font
