Job Description:

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST CES LVL III (NSWC-16-1407-F) Bowhead is seeking a qualified Computer Equipment Specialist (CES), Level III to support the Fort Eustis Network Enterprise Center (NEC), Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and other tenant organizations. The position is located at the Fort Eustis NEC. The CES will be required to prioritize workload from various taskers based on Remedy Action Request System (RARS), NEC Managers, NEC Team Leads, or from the on-call IT Service Desk contract employee. The CES must be familiar with creating tickets within RARS and understanding how and when to escalate them. Communicating issues regarding the assigned Zone, troubleshooting and documenting those issues will also be required. The CES should be knowledgeable and familiar with the C4IM Services List and understand the difference between baseline services, above baseline services and mission support services as it pertains to the NEC, TRADOC and other tenant organizations. The CES will also be required to install, configure, and troubleshoot government furnished equipment and have knowledge of their equipment (laptops, desktops, blackberries, switches, routers, computer peripherals, printers and servers). The CES will be required to image computers on a daily basis, add printers and computers to the network, and update computers to comply with Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessments, based on the results of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scanning. He/she must have extensive knowledge in government off the shelf (GOTS) and commercial off the shelf (COTS) software. Additional duties will follow based on the requirement of the NEC customers. Requirements Desired Knowledge and Experience: Minimum of 4 years experience installing networks, exercising network security to include determining network security requirements, establishing security protocols and procedures, and maintaining the network at the prescribed level of security. Active Directory, MS Office Suite, Citrix, Java and Adobe Suite. Education: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience. Must have a minimum of 4 years experience supporting and/or troubleshooting at the Tier II and/or III level.
