JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Morris Architects, a subsidiary of Huitt-Zollars has an immediate full-time opportunity for an IT Desktop Support professional to join our 9-person Corporate IT team that supports 400+ users in 19 offices. This position is based at the Houston Downtown location and consists primarily of providing end user support to approximately 60+ users at the Houston location and helping other offices as needed via remote support tools.
Provide end user support to 60 + users at the Houston Downtown office and
Remotely assist other Huitt-Zollars/Morris offices' end users
Travel to other Morris/Huitt-Zollars offices to provide end user support and/or setup when necessary
Troubleshoot problems with hardware, software, networking, and plot production
Configuration and deployment of new equipment, software and updates
Verification of daily backups and data restorations from backups
Assist users with BYOD devices
Care and feeding of printers/plotters
Malware mitigation and removals
Proficient in Desktop support; Hardware, Software, PC and Mac, MS Office, Microsoft Exchange, AutoCAD, Revit, Newforma
Strong knowledge of Shoretel Phones, Printers, Large format plotters, Daily back-ups, etc.
Working Knowledge of Deltek Vision, Video conferencing - Lifesize and Vidyo, ArcGIS, Go To Meeting, Windows Sharepoint Services is a plus
Experience in an Architectural/Engineering consulting environment
Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with all levels of staff in a work environment that may have a variety of challenges and opportunities
