Job Description

The Conference Services Attendant will work as part of the Conference Services team in setting up all function rooms to specified standards, refreshing when directed and maintaining each room throughout the Conference Center as directed by Conference Floor Supervisors, Conference Floor Manager, or other management personnel. Sets up and breaks down conference rooms according to event orders as well as maintains cleanliness standards for equipment and meeting rooms. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE High school graduate or equivalent. Preferred banquet or conference services experience. Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Able to work variable hours including weekends and holidays. Strong attention to detail. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Set meeting and banquet rooms through the safe and correct use of the following: tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, and other equipment as directed by a supervisor. 2. Know the names and locations of every function room. 3. Familiarity of the names of all meeting set styles and how to set them properly. Knowledge of the meeting facilities, daily meeting schedule, and other hotel aspects. 5. Strike, clean, and clear all function rooms and areas quickly and quietly. 6. Maintain the cleanliness and working order of all equipment. 7. Keep all storage areas clean and orderly at all times. 8. Respond to all guest needs as requested. 9. Report major cleaning and repair needs daily. 10. Live by the Universal standards and departmental standards every day. Work as a team with all other property departments. Attain a score of 94 or better for customer satisfaction for the department as measured by the tech cards and a 4.5 score as measured by the meeting planner evaluation.
