This team member supports distributed development teams in utilizing industry best practices for the development of their applications. The candidate is an expert in how to implement theses best practices in IBM Rational Synergy, the task based, integrated configuration management tool and IBM Rational Change, web based change management tool.This position will focus on tool support for the development community, tool development and customization, training, documentation, gathering and usage of metrics.The professional will be responsible for:? Development support ? providing support in all developer functions pertaining to the use of IBM Rational Change and Synergy including resolving conflicts, creating baselines and new releases, branching new releases and creating propagation properties, restructuring applications and migrating new applications.? Training ? conduct one on one as well as group courses and recorded instructional webinars in general and specialized topics pertaining to SCRM.? Documentation ? writing concise reference, manuals and training materials.? Metrics ? analyzing raw data and extracting and reporting on metrics related to the use of Synergy.Skills Required:? Experience with source configuration and versioning tools? Experience with Change and Process Management tools? Experience with distributed software development tools and languages including but not limited to Visual Studio .NET Framework, Websphere, FLEX, Eclipse, JAVA, C++, bash, Rhin/BSF? Advance scripting with Perl and similar tools? Experience with standard UNIX utilities (ps, tail, cat, head, grep, etc.)? Understanding of shared file systems? Proven ability to articulate and communicate technical information, policy, best practices? Well organized and able to interact professionally with all levels within and outside the company.Skills Desired:? Experience with distributed build process? Experience designing and maintaining SharePoints? Experience with LDAP? Experience with diagrammatically representing processes, workflows and ideas.?
