span Construction Inspector Job in Denver/Colorado Springs br   br One of the top industrial manufacturing companies world wide is looking for a motivated individual to fill a Construction Inspector Job in Denver/Colorado Springs. Hours will be variable for this role. Generally the hours/week will be in the 35-40 range with possibility of overtime. Also possible to work less than 35 hours in a given week depending on customer needs. br   br B Responsibilities: /B br B Field Work: /B br ul
li Conduct pre-construction site surveys to verify cable routing, identify any obstacles that may result in additional construction costs, and take field measurements. /li li Assist in the creation of splice plans, test plans, and other documentation items as directed by the project manager. /li li Monitor fiber optic plant construction activities to ensure products are being installed within customer guidelines and manufacturer standard recommended procedures. /li li Conduct weekly safety audits to ensure all contractors are working within Corning and OSHA safety guidelines /li li Provide daily reports to the project manager outlining construction progress on all installations located in the assigned area of responsibility. /li li Troubleshoot potential warranty issues using Corning provided equipment such as Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR), Visual Fault Locators (VFL), and Optical Test Sets. /li /ul

li Visit customers on a weekly basis to ensure customer satisfaction and discuss any new projects being planned. /li li Conduct inventory activities, as requested, of Corning owned construction materials located at contractor controlled yards. /li /ul
  br B RequiredQualifications: /B br ul
li High School diploma or equivalent /li li Working knowledge of fiber optic testing procedures /li li Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing software, and email applications /li li 100% fluent in English /li /ul
  br B Desired Qualifications: /B br ul
li Knowledge of building/unstanding splice plans. /li li Knowledge/experience with field/site walk-outs. /li li Hands-on experience splicing and testing fiber optic networks /li li Ability to speak Spanish or other languages is a plus. /li li Experience providing hands-on instruction in either a field or classroom environment /li /ul
