JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Consultative Sales Associate is responsible for enhancing the experience of members and driving profitable sales of Home Appliance area by providing proactive consultative sales assistance and support to the member, achieving department standards and goals, and performing sales-support activities to maintain a clean, in-stock, orderly and well-merchandised sales floor for conducting sales activities.Creates impactful merchandise feature displays to attract and inspire members to purchase their home design solutions from Sears.
Takes ownership for enhancing member experience, assists members by utilizing approved consultative selling practices and guidelines to identify needs and provides appropriate solutions.
Keeps up to date on product knowledge, trends, and seasonality that impacts assortment and merchandising. Proactively leverages integrated retail tools and technology in order to facilitate the member experience and provide solutions when products are not available in the store.
Maintains current knowledge of merchandise lines, product features, benefits and availability, and delivery and installation and/or service options.
Optimizes credit, gift card, Shop Your Way Rewards and multi-channel opportunities (and, where applicable, Protection Agreements, Sears Purchase Protect, delivery, installation and other miscellaneous income opportunities) to create complete member solutions.
Processes member transactions in the Point of Sale system, including sales, returns and exchanges in accordance with authorized procedures.
Maintains merchandise standards and ready all day standards within assigned departments, including replenishment, housekeeping, and ad set up/take down.
