Responsible for managing the plant's continuous improvement program in order to reduce manufacturing costs and optimize process operations.
Bachelor's degree in chemical or industrial engineering required with 5+ years of industry experience.
Knowledge of FMEA, RCA, tools and application
Blackbelt in Lean Six Sigma required.
Requires a solid process technical understanding and application of basic chemical engineering skills to identify, analyze and implement opportunities in the plant.
Must be able to apply technological know-how with "real world" operation to implement solutions to problems.
Requires ability to oversee the complete engineering process and steps and identify bottlenecks.
Requires knowledge of HAZOP, RCA, tools and techniques
Process Engineering skills (e.g. process simulation, sizing of equipment, FEEL) preferred as well as knowledge of production processes and processing technology.
Requires an advanced level of computer literacy with spreadsheet programs and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Sharepoint and Access)
Detailed knowledge of applicable SHE & Manufacturing requirements.
Experience in capital project management preferred.
Develop and maintain KPI's to monitor plant performance.
Collect and prioritize improvements ideas using Improve Plant Work process (Trackwise).
Estimate the costs and benefits of opportunities.
Lead projects to improve yield, reduce energy usage, improve quality.
Ensure improvement activities comply with SHE Requirements, local laws, and applicable standards
Displays and promotes positive safety behaviors at all times and acts in such a way that safety awareness and accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks.
Ensures that all personal safety, quality and assigned training is up to date and in compliance.
Supports and follows the policy of reporting incidents, near misses and improvement possibilities.
Ensures Quality procedures, Management Directives and Quality improvement projects are supported and followed.
