Continuous Improvement Operations Leader

Established and growing aerospace manufacturing company. Thomasville Georgia Location

Scope (core functions):
While driving improvement everyday, this leader will partner with all departments and levels of employees to ensure the culture thrives on Continuous Improvement, Theory of Constraints (TOC), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies to increase velocity and performance.
The Operational Excellence Leader will be responsible for aligning w/co'ss operating strategy and position the facility for continual growth.
The primary role of this position will be to eliminate waste from our business processes.
This person will transform our behavior and expectations to deliver value and solutions to our customers through the Power of excellence.
This person will ensure the facility provides a working environment and uses common visuals, metrics, and behaviors to standardize work that aligns with corporate-wide goals and objectives.

Essential Functions:
Provides a proactive approach to transform the site to a visual, standardized management system--focusing on KPIs, both internally and externally.
Oversees development, evaluation and improvement of the business enterprise, utilizing knowledge of process design for flow, quality control standards, and ERP systems.
Approves process capability, repeatability and conformance to quality and manpower requirements.
Supervises improvement for the value of the process to reduce/eliminate “human interjection” into processes.
Oversees, manages, implements and evaluates all Value Stream projects with results being the top priority.
Responsible for the development and implementation of the co's Operational Excellence initiative with specific emphasis on successful implementation of all company productivity projects.
Presents the evaluation on reduction of MRB turns, total dollar amount saved per project versus goal amount, unit hour improvement, and lasting effect to the executive team.
Provides direction for aligning organization into a transparent and cohesive strategy centered upon a culture of deliberation and continuous improvement.
Responsible for taking cost out of business processes and reducing and eliminating waste.
Oversees and leads all Operational Excellence chapters for the facility.
Leads team of engineers and other personnel in cost saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyzes organizational metrics and performs periodic reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps.

5-years experience, leading change and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment, required.
Aerospace manufacturing experience, preferred.
