JOB DESCRIPTIONGreat company to work for, stable and well known. Federal and State contracts, reporting to procurement officer. Prefer someone with contracts experience from a public agency, federal, state, city, government related industry. $65-70k
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university in administration, business administration or related field and a minimum of five years of experience performing contract administration work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervises the activities of purchasing department staff relative to review and preparation of contract documents and ensures files are documented in accordance with applicable federal, state and Agency policies and procedures
Develops, implements, negotiates and administers Agency contracts for goods, services, and major projects. These contracting activities may be of low, moderate, or of high risk to the Agency and or the end-using department; these activities may also be routine or non-routine and may require the development of specialized contract documents, techniques and tools to accomplish the goals and objectives of the end-using department. Contract activities routinely involve independent judgment and the ability to identify, assess, analyze and resolve related issues. Federal and state regulations must be regularly reviewed and analyzed to ensure Agency and department compliance. Additional responsibilities include the preservation of key procurement documents and records, coordination of Agency-wide responsibilities for oversight of federal funding sub-recipients and support Agency's responsibilities for satisfactory continuing control of equipment obtained with federal funds.
