JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections of areas serviced by janitorial and other contractors to verify that services are performed in accordance with contract specifications. Documents non-compliance of contractual agreements and provides written reports to the Contracts Manager and vendors regarding findings. Researches and analyzes contract specifications; assists Contracts Manager in investigating bidder qualifications, and makes suggestions for improvement of service levels. Assists the Contracts Manager in verifying other contract issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program. Two (2) year's work related experience (per Facilities hiring/promotion matrix). Working knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office. Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus. One (1) year of work related experience can be substituted for one (1) year of formal training or any combination of the two. Must have a valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record. Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code. Must pass Dallas County Sheriff Department & FAST (Texas Juvenile Probation Commission) background checks. Able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Must be able to work within a team environment and maintain effective relationships with all levels of staff, vendors and the public. Able to communicate orally and in writing regarding contract issues to vendors and others. Attends safety, contract, team and customer meetings. Ability to travel to and traverse various sites without restriction in order to inspect contractor's compliance. Requires continuous walking, prolonged standing and working in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.
