Controller - Advertising / Marketing Agency

Our client, a highly respected Advertising Agency, is seeking to hire a Controller. This position is open due to an internal promotion. The position will reside in the firm's NYC headquarters.
Position Duties:

Supervise, train and mentor all members of the Accounting team
Review and analyze General Ledger and Financial records for approximately 20 subsidiaries to ensure GAAP compliance
Manage the interim and annual audit process and provide guidance and support to external Big 4 audit team
In conjunction with the Tax Manager, oversee and manage all tax filings
Assist the calculation of year-end tax provisions with external tax firm
Oversee and managed the preparation of annual budget process
Coordinate and respond to all audit requests (i.e., workers compensation, sales tax, disability, etc.)
Provide technical accounting policy and procedure research as required

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Minimum 5 years related experience
CPA license required
Prior supervisory experience required
Proficiency with MS Excel required
Experience with MAS 200 accounting system a plus
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
High level of personal integrity and high ethical standards
Strong communication / interpersonal skills
Advertising, Marketing or Real Estate industry experience preferred

Base salary to $110K
