Position Summary: Hotel LeVeque is looking for a creative Lifestyle Financial Controller for our hotel to manage our accounting department. The ideal person would be highly self-motivated, possesses strong ethical qualities, and have an understanding of lifestyle brands. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Maximize cost effectiveness, profitability of the Hotel by managing the finances through planning and controlling of revenue, costs, payroll and expenses * Assist all department heads in ensuring departmental P&L are in line and always finding creative solutions to maximize on hotels profitability * Administers and maintains all corporate financial records including books of original entry, supporting schedules and subsidiary ledgers * Establishes and maintain all corporate financial data to provide management with internal reports * Provides for an annual budgeting and planning process to insure long term financial and business strategy * Establishes and maintains cost accounting standards for the corporation to be implemented. * Provides cost accounting expertise through training * Establishes procedures for reviewing and approving budgeted expenditure justification and approvals * Supervision and control of all assets for the Property * Accurate and timely financial reporting * Installation of proper cash management procedures * Oversee all account payable processes to ensure timely and accurate completion * Benchmark costs against other hotels. Identify cost reduction opportunities. Always working to mitigate financial risks to the business * Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
