Superior Group is helping our national aerospace client find a controller for their Kent facility. Salaried benefited direct hire position.

The Controller position reports to the General Manager. In this position, he/she will work with the Management team to directly support business objectives, planning and strategies to meet financial expectations and implement/support the integration of best practices throughout FTI.

Focus on meeting daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting commitments via hands on assistance, in the various financial activities including streamlining, and process improvements.
Will be expected to provide the leadership management skill to meet the aggressive reporting and financial schedules which support the growth, revenues, and profits of the business.
Enhance the strength of the management team in order to meet the ambitious goals for the business.
Have a metrics driven, highly accountable mindset within their organization.
Responsible for the operation and planning of the plant accounting activities.
Direct cost, general planning, cycle counting, payroll, billing, and payables, together with the necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan.
Compare performance with operating plans and standards.
Provide reports and interpret the results of operations to all levels of management.
Forecast short-range and long-range cash requirements and obligations, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds.
Assure protection for the assets of the business through internal control, auditing, and ensuring proper insurance coverage.
Monitor credit and collection applications.
Approve terms above a predetermined dollar amount.
Monitors inventory levels and advise management regarding variances to budget.
Assist marketing in establishing and maintaining product-pricing policies.
Execute cash disbursements for payment of corporate and divisional expenditures in accordance with disbursement and policies.
Establish and implement a sound operational and organizational plan in direct support of the business plan.
Responsible for preparation of monthly forecasts and analysis of actual results.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Min 7 years experience as a senior accountant or controller
Min 3 years controller experience at a public company for a significant business unit, product line, or division generating at least $50 million on annual revenue.
Min 5 years of experience with manufactured products where the individual developed a solid understanding of standard cost accounting, forecasting and planning, currency transactions SOX system and compliance, ERP management/systems expertise.
