JOB DESCRIPTIONElectrical Controls Engineer To develop new methods, tooling and machine designs and resolve processing issues/problems involved in the manufacturing of shells, primers, and/or bullets in the ammunition plants. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Determine design requirements, prepare specifications and drawings, procure necessary materials and services and coordinate installation and maintenance systems for new automation projects. 2. Responsible for programming and designing PLC controls for new equipment. 3. Support and troubleshoot equipment with control systems including PLCs, HMIs and SCADA. 4. Improve yields, lower costs, and increase manufacturing uptime by supporting plant. 5. Provide a communication bridge between engineering and productions floor. 6. Investigates and troubleshoots production difficulties and takes corrective measures
Electrical Controls Engineer MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ?Bachelor?s Degree
in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline. ?Seven or more years?
experience supporting, troubleshooting and programming Allen Bradley and/or
Omron controls systems. ?Experience with specifying, installing and troubleshooting
mechanical and electrical equipment with automatic controls systems for
material handling, defect inspection, robotic placement, vision systems
and process control. ?Experience within a high speed manufacturing setting.
?Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing. ?Familiarity with high volume metallic
parts manufacturing operations and equipment. ?Excellent problem solving
skills. ?Excellent organizational, communication, project management and
teamwork skills. ?Experience managing complex projects. ?Ability to perform
at a high level with minimal supervision and direction. ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE
QUALIFICATIONS ?MS Engineering and/or MBA ?Hands on experience with Six
Sigma tools and techniques and lean manufacturing concepts. ?Small caliber
ammunition manufacturing experience. ?CAD training ?Statistical/DOE experienceFor
