Job Description

In this entry level controls engineering position the candidate will work with a team of experienced engineers in supporting industry leading robotic and cryogenic platforms including new designs and the continuous improvement of existing designs. This work will include the tuning of motion control parameters, servo loop performance and stability characterization, design documentation, and the configuration of software. Assignments will also include root cause analysis and corrective action of failures; the enhancement, testing and troubleshooting of controls algorithms and embedded software; and the writing, planning and performance of design verification tests for new designs. Required Skills
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on engineer with a broad capability in mechatronic systems with the following required skills:
Can learn quickly and work independently;has excellent technical communication and presentation skills;Competent in control theory, robotics and algorithm development;Knowledgeable of fluid dynamics;Skilled in FPGA development and/or C/C++ especially for real-time DSP systems;Competent in Matlab/Simulink or LabView tools. Handy in the use of oscilloscopes, dynamic signal analyzers and general lab equipment. Required Experience
BSEE or BSME with 1-2 years of experience, MSEE or MSME with 0-1 years of experience, or equivalent. Related coursework/experience in robotics, control, and/or dynamic systems.
