Are you a gearhead and a technologist Do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you're able to put your electrical or electro mechanical engineering skills to work Our client is in an expansion mode and is looking for a Controls Engineer to program and implement servo motion controllers, gauges and automation on their custom manufactured machinery. This person will report to the Senior Engineer and will have growth potential. The industries serviced include Tier 1 and Tier 2 Automotive, Aerospace, and Medical Devices in this high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
Design and develop electrical and electromechanical systems, including servo motors, motion controls, and high precision feedback devices to be implemented on precision machinery and inspection systems
Analyze a design for functionality, cost effectiveness, and production readiness.
Interact with customers to establish requirement and provide solutions.
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate program of assigned engineering work and projects.
Work as part of a cross-functional team to design, validate, and implement machine design changes.
Test equipment, debug and isolate defects.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the design and change if necessary.
Estimate cost, reliability, and safety factors.
Control the efficiency of processes.
Build, test and modify product prototypes.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
BS required; degree in Engineering
Must have 3 years of experience in an automated manufacturing environment
Experience with industrial robotic systems, and process controls a plus
