JOB DESCRIPTIONTemporary cook/chef to work at a large facility in Gettysburg area. This is a contract position that will last until November 16th, 2016. Seeking someone who has thrived in a fast paced cooking environment and is capable of running an omelet station and working the sauté station during lunch hours. The hours would be from 6am-2:30pm with a half hour lunch break Monday through Thursday. Sundays from 8:30-5pm with a half hour lunch break. Sunday is negotiable.
Essential functions of the position:
Cleans and sanitizes work area before starting daily activities.
Reviews production sheets for catered events, Specialty Dining, and student menu with Assistant Chef and Executive Chef.
Will assist with the delivery, dish up, and setup of foods for special events.
Will participate in the action station in Specialty Dining whenever schedule permits.
Reviews with the Lead Cold Food Prep and Baker all needs and prepare foods as needed or ensure that required food items are prepared in advance and are ready.
Marginal functions of the position:
Assists in the preparation of food items to be used in the Sauté / Grill / Pizza areas.
May ensure that beverage and condiment areas are fully stocked.
May serve on any of the designated food service lines.
May assist with proper storage of stocked items.
May help with the delivery of foods for special events
Performs other duties as assigned.
