This position has access to and knowledge of extremely sensitive, private and confidential materials. Ability to maintain the highest standard is required with zero tolerance.

All the primary duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the Medical Center.
JOB SUMMARY:





The Coordinator works under the direction of the Manager, Director or Designated Leader. Manages daily patient care activities, personnel, and departmental operations. Regularly performs the job duties of a registered nurse to include all aspects of the nursing process. Is accountable for assuring quality outcomes and appropriate resource consumption. The coordinator will complete primary job duties based on the needs of the Department and the Manager. The RN provides care based on established standards of care and expectations. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:





1. Responsible for shift or specialty team operations, ensuring that policies, practices, procedures, and standards are followed in providing care.
2. Coordinates daily patient care activities, participates/leads daily patient care conferences. Ensures that patients are admitted, transferred and discharged in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members in the development of the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes.
3. Accepts a patient care assignment and provides care utilizing critical thinking skills with the nursing process. Performs nursing assessments to gather data and identify the patient s needs for this episode of care per ANA standards and NCBON.
4. Assists in the development of department staffing schedules, edits ANSOS daily.
5. May review Kronos daily as delegated by department Manager.
