The Coordinator- Clinical Pharmacogenetics focuses on facilitating the appropriate use of proactive pharmacogenomics testing as the st&ard of care for St. Jude patients. Collaborates with Pharmaceutical Department leadership & others to evaluate gene/drug pairs & implements the use of genetic data to select & dose drugs for St. Jude patients. Functions as the primary interface between the pharmaceutical department staff, clinical staff, clinical informatics & others to coordinate efficient development of all necessary infrastructure to implement a new gene/drug pair into St. Jude clinical practice. Ensures that all aspects of new gene/drug pairs implemented on clinical practice are functioning properly. Contributes to department education programs & departmental, institutional, national committees & initiatives related to pharmacogenetics to implement genomic medicine.
