LRP is currently seeking a Copy Editor/Document Administrator to copyedit legal articles, books, pamphlets, conference presentations and audio conference materials for clarity, quality, style and format. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and deadline driven with demonstrated experience editing copy in AP style. The Copy Editor/Document Administrator will independently track all production deadlines for assigned content, as well as:

- Post reviewed content to various corporate websites using proprietary web posting and story management software
- Research and gather federal employment public laws, rules and regulations, guidance, model policies, forms and administrative decisions to be formatted and posted to LRP databases and websites
- Request and maintain copyright releases and reprint permissions
- Review and edit HTML coding for proper format of electronic documents using an HTML Editor
- Using a Static Data tool, create and ensure corporate website hyperlinks and tagging are correct and functional

Minimum Requirements:

- 4-year college degree
- Min. 1 year of direct copy editing experience
- Knowledge of Editorial and Production processes
- Demonstrated knowledge of AP Style
- Experience working under daily deadlines
- Proven ability to edit content for clarity, grammar and overall presentation
- Proven ability to write clearly and concisely and to help editors rework confusing or unclear text
- Familiarity with publishing software, specifically Adobe InDesign, along with basic Microsoft Office operating systems
Proficient knowledge of HTML editing

- Maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines
- Demonstrated web research skills
