The Regional Environmental Manager will be responsible for the Central Region (Ohio and Indiana). As a Regional Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for driving environmental compliance, systems management, permitting and development of environmental personnel at multiple plants within the designation region of the United States. The Regional Environmental Manager's focus is to manage people and programs. Your technical and people skills are needed in order to maintain our management systems and our culture of sustainability, ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations, and promote process improvements as they relate to environmental programs. This position reports to the Director of Environmental Programs and is a part of Johns Manville's Environmental, Health and Safety Leadership Team. This position may be located in Denver, CO or in Ohio (Toledo area preferred).

Responsibilities:*Develop and implement environmental compliance systems and programs for JM's plant operations and employees. *Develop, implement and lead group environmental management programs for the JM's businesses to ensure full compliance with regulations and company requirements*Represent the company with state and federal agencies for air permitting and other issues as required.*Provide regulatory guidance for all environmental media to manufacturing facilities and ensure that compliance systems are adequate to track and document compliance status*Actively audit plant environmental performance for JM locations. Ensure that audit findings are addressed and corrected where appropriate.*Effectively communicate the environmental goals, objectives, performance expectations, and metrics throughout the organization*Prepare strategic and tactical environmental plans for the business that align with company objectives*Review all major capital projects and provide the environmental impact assessments*Mentor, train, and develop JM plant environmental employees.*Develop and implement management systems to ensure seamless leadership for JM's business environmental activities *Work collaboratively with the Air Quality Manager and EH&S Integrated Systems Manager to insure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and corporate policies and procedures.*Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* Bachelors degree in environmental management, engineering or natural sciences. * 8 or more years of experience implementing and managing environmental programs and initiatives.* Leadership skills to include managing direct and indirect reports to include, influencing, mentoring and project management skills.* Experience with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations relating to air, water, solid waste and hazardous waste management. (Title V permitting and PSD determinations).* Experience working with emission inventory development.* Ability to climb stairs / ladders, walk extensively, be exposed to hot and cold temperatures.* Ability to travel up to 60%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* Experience working in the glass industry.* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. * Certified ISO 14001 auditor.* Experienced with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and teaching RCA.* Experienced with SAP Environmental and Incident Reporting modules.* Experienced with site-specific and general NPDES permitting.
