Responsible for overseeing and performing various duties and functions in support of Human Resources department and company initiatives.


* Manages the onboarding and orientation program, recommending improvements to increase effectiveness and overall new hire satisfaction; partners with HR Coordinator on program enhancements and delivery
* Conducts management orientation specific to the roles and expectations of new managers and supervisors in conjunction with management training required through AH4R University
* Responsible for the creation of new and update of existing company job descriptions, ensuring the most up to date descriptions are on file for all positions; conducts annual reviews for compensation planning; recommends pay grades based on market salary data, which includes participation in annual salary surveys
* Responsible for the completion of monthly metrics, which includes turnover, headcount and otherHR department specific data; completes an annual analysis of yearly metric findings; partners with Manager, Human Resources to identify trends and recommendations for improvement
* Assists the Manager, Human Resources during the performance management cycle by managing the online system, assisting with delivery and training, in addition to rollout of system enhancements
* Conducts exit interviews with departing employees to gather information related to their reason for leaving; provides metrics as part of the monthly process, in addition to a bi-annual analysis of voluntary turnover; brings any serious matters or actionable items discussed in the exit interview to the attention of the Manager, Human Resources
* Processes Employment Development Department claims for all locations, while maintaining appropriate recordkeeping and tracking; participating in Unemployment hearings as needed
* Maintains and updates the Human Resources policies and procedures manual by partnering with applicable HR team members to ensure each policy and procedure is accurate and up to date
* Responsible for annual EE0-1report filing by standard due date
* Counsel and advise managers and employees on company policies and procedures as needed
* Gives unsurpassed customer support to all employee inquiries.
* Assists HR Staff with various research projects and/or special projects
* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities by attending various seminars and reading publications
* Completes department business while maintaining strict confidentiality
* Accomplishes human resources department and organization mission by completing related goals
* Handles various other duties as delegated by the Manager, Human Resources and VP and Director, Human Resources
* Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner


* Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Human Resources) and a minimum of four (4) years of experience working in human resources with progressive responsibility
* Experience with onboarding, staffing process and job descriptions preferred
* Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and employees
* Knowledge of state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility
* Intermediate to advanced in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, ADP, and SilkRoad (preferred, not required)
