JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY TSW seeks a NEW position, Corporate Quality Manager who will develop, implement, and coordinate quality control and assurance systems to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. The CQM will plan, coordinate, and direct the quality systems designed to ensure continuous quality production of products consistent with established standards at all TSW facilities.
Job Responsibilities will include:
Coordinates with top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals.
Manages, creates goals for, coaches, mentors and holds accountable all TSW quality personnel.
Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends and implements solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality standards.
Reviews technical publications, articles and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
Coordinates, manages and improves the quality module and procedures within the ERP system.
Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures.
Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel in organization.
Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Provides inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
Applies quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department.
Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
Works with vendors to insure quality of all purchased parts for company use.
Creates and directs environmental test functions.
Plays active role on quality management teams within organization.
Designs and implements quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.
Responsible for key deliverables as annually assigned.
* College Degreerequired, metallurgy concentration preferred
* Seven (7) + years supervisory experience in a manufacturing quality setting
* Lean, six sigma or other manufacturing quality certifications are a plus
* Exceptional, transparent communication and organizational skills
* Extensive team building and leadership skills
* Logical, organized approach
* Thorough knowledge of steel wire manufacturing preferred but not required
* Previous ISO experiencerequired
* Strong knowledge of major quality systems
* Proficient Computer aptitude
* Positive attitude with the ability to think critically and problem solve
