Primary Objective: Responsible for the Sales of the Corporate market of recently renovated hotel. Job Summary: Implements and directs the properties sales activities in accordance with the marketing plan and assigned market segment, coordinates with other departments that service activities related to the sales function to maximize customer satisfaction & overall profitability. Major Areas of Accountability: * Reports to the Director of Sales * Take appropriate action to maximize sales efforts by making outside sales calls in person, telephone solicitation, e-mails, & other mailings * Answer all phone calls, e-mails, & other mail regarding sales and hotel functions * Consult with guests & set up the client's groups and functions to their satisfaction in a manner that will maximize the profitability of the sales department * Prepare sales contracts according to established procedures * Qualify prospective leads as to profitability * Negotiate with client to achieve maximum profit while satisfying client's needs * Contact customers in-house to promote good will and foster additional business, repeat bookings and referrals * Follow up on progress of groups booked, such as room night pick-up, rooming lists and cut-off dates with reservations to insure maximum occupancy on a daily basis *Enhance to property's community image and stay abreast of competition, new developments, sales methods and techniques in the hospitality industry to maximize profitability *Reviews sales work file of assigned accounts to maintain a proper flow of information within the hotel * Prepare reports as requested to develop a more informative data base for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities * Perform all accountabilities in a timely and efficient manner following established company policy and projecting a favorable image to achieve objectives, public recognition and acceptance *Performs other related and unrelated tasks as assigned by management
