Job Description

As part of a small team, the Corporate Strategy Analyst III will take on an elevated role in research, development, and implementation of strategic plans. The analyst will support development and refinement of RTI s overall growth strategy under the direction of the VP of Corporate Strategy and OCS management team.

Duties will be varied and include driving the strategic planning process, developing content, performing competitive intelligence assessments, as well as providing strategic leadership in critical cross-institute activities, and corporate initiatives.


* Lead analyses of growth opportunities for existing lines of business,

* Identify and size new market opportunities

* Assess competitive pressures

* Develop pro-forma analyses

* Assist in designing and supporting strategic planning efforts

* Play a key role in ongoing strategic initiatives

* Leverage and support competitive intelligence infrastructure

* Facilitate in institute-wide insight sharing


* Bachelors level degree

* 3 years of related experience with at least two years of experience conducting US federal market research

* Demonstrated experience in the following areas:

* Federal procurement process, agency forecasts, GovWin, USAspending, etc.

* Competitive intelligence practices

* Project management skills and working knowledge of project budgets

* Experience analyzing commercial and/or international markets

* Comfort with both quantitative and qualitative analysis

* Ability to communicate with an executive level audience as well as technical experts

* Ability to set agendas, lead meetings, and work collaboratively to achieve goals

* Ability to work under minimal supervision

* Drive to consistently meet and exceed objectives

* Ability to obtain detailed data and information

* Mastery of Microsoft Office, including Excel

Position can be located in Washington, DC, or Rockville, MD.
