This position will focus on developing materials and facilitating courses for High Potentials, New Employee Orientation, and employee development programs. This position will also develop and deliver job specific training as needed. This position will play an important role in the rollout and maintenance of new technology that supports our learning and development strategy. Primary focus will be on improving employee communications, organizational learning and development, operational efficiencies, and other initiatives consistent with Midland States Bank s strategic goals. Position reports to Director of Learning and Development.

Primary Accountabilities

*

Primarily responsible for development, delivery and measurement of New Employee Orientation and High Potential programs.
*

Responsible for development and delivery of select soft skills and other employee and leadership development programs.
*

Assists in development and delivery of job specific training (in person or virtual; end user and train the trainer).
*

Responsible for assessing and recommending strategic opportunities to implement distance learning and computer/web-based training.
*

Assists in the maintenance and continuous evaluation of new technology/tools that support the L&D goals.
*

Assists with vendor research, communication and evaluation.
*

Designs, plans, coordinates, conducts and evaluates training programs (both internal and external) for target audiences.
*

Designs plans, procedures and processes for the administration of training; monitoring employee progress and program effectiveness.
*

Stays informed of new developments, methods, practices, and techniques in the training profession.
*

Responds to employees and managers to address training questions and concerns.

Position Qualifications
*

Bachelor's degree in Training and Development, Education, Business, Communications or related field
*

Three to five or more years of training experience in assessment, course design, development, delivery, measurement tools and reporting for employee and leadership development programs
*

Ability to utilize various delivery methods to meet the needs of the business.
*

Demonstrated creativity in design, implementation and evaluation of training programs.
*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to key stakeholders, senior leaders and large training groups in person or remotely
*

Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to support training needs in other locations (15-20% of time)
*

Computer skills: MS Office, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
*

Experience with InDesign and innovative learning platforms are a plus.
