Job Description

Gryphon Technologies, a leading provider of engineering services to the US Navy, is seeking an experienced Corrosion Control Assistance Team (CCAT) Team Leader. Job location is in Everett, WA. This position will provide technical expertise and training to ships’ forces in all aspects of corrosion control. The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) and Electromagnetic Environmental Effects including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and associated equipment. The candidate must understand processes and requirements as they pertain to organizational level corrosion control of C5I systems and HM&E. The candidate must have thorough knowledge of preservation tools, corrosion control techniques coating systems used on U.S. Navy ships and other marine vessels. In addition, candidate should be aware of new technologies and how they may be implemented on Navy ships. The candidate should have the ability to verbally explain to ships’ force personnel the proper use of tools and the benefit of performing quality preservation is critical. The candidate should be able to effectively manage personnel and interface with leadership of Navy Ships.

A Bachelor’s degree is desired (experience may be substituted for degree). Candidate must have 10 years experience in corrosion control on US Navy Ships. Candidate must be NACE Certified CIP Level III with peer review. Candidate must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. One must have exceptional communication, leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one is required.
