The Corrugator Scheduler is expected to ensure that orders placed at their facility are fulfilled in an efficient and timely manner. Position Summary:
The Corrugator Scheduler is responsible for trimming corrugator runs based on customer orders, establishing and maintaining plant production schedules, tracking progress of production, and reviewing factors which affect production schedules. The Corrugator Scheduler is expected to be aware of sales orders and special customer requests. The Corrugator Scheduler is required to exercise discretion and creativity in determining the best way to organize work to ensure completion of customer orders with limited supervision or oversight. Internally, the Corrugator Scheduler interacts with customer service, shipping and sales personnel to ensure all orders are trimmed in time for delivery. Externally, the Corrugator Scheduler is responsible for coordinating material shipments with vendors. Hours:
10am - 6:
30pm Mon - Friday Principle Accountabilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all materials, reports, and complete administrative tasks as required - Complete daily and weekly reports - Produce run sheets for corrugator - Make changes in corrugator schedule to comply with changes in customer requests - Trim corrugator in compliance with customer orders and within waste guidelines - Maximize on time shipping performance based on customer requested delivery dates - Prioritize orders and expedite shipments with customer service and plant personnel based on customer requirements - Assist Production Planning Manager with Production Schedules - Knows and follows policies and procedures of the company, shares information that would benefit other members of the team and finds ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers Position Qualifications:
- Education equivalent to graduation from high school required, some college or manufacturing training preferred - Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding manufacturing - Strong analytical abilities - Good verbal and written communication skills - High level of organizational skills - Working knowledge of computer systems including experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and knowledge of manufacturing scheduling software preferred. - Work overtime, if needed PCA offers a competitive pay and benefit package.
