Position Overview
Applies accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports and participate in continuous operational improvements for multiple, global manufacturing and service sites.

Primary Responsibilities
* Participates directly in organizational changes, by identifying operations issues or problem areas, developing cross-functional work teams, creating solutions, and adapting financial processes.
* Prepares and supports balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other reports.
* Determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods.
* Responsible for Inventory reconciliations and maintaining any book to perpetual changes.
* Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports.
* Prepares, reviews, and inputs journal entries for month end close.
* Installs, modifies, and implements accounting systems and control procedures.
* Conducts studies, reports, and analyses, and submits recommendations for improving all aspects of business.
* Establishes and maintains databases of pertinent information for analysis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
* BA or BS degree in accounting/finance with 5+ years' experience in accounting theory, consolidations, cost, program, manufacturing, and G&L.
* Experience with SAP (FICO) modules
* Experience working with SOX requirements.
* Experience with and understanding of manufacturing business processes
* Detail orientation combined with big picture skills
* Strong written and verbal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Quick study and ability to multi-task.
* Strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office
Preferred:
* Advanced degree or certification.
* Current status with GAAP, CAS, FAR, IRS, with training certifications (CPA, CMA, CIA) and/or advanced degrees.

Working Conditions - Physical requirements and environment
* Office environment with moderate noise levels (70% of time spent).
* Production environment, requiring safety glasses and exposure to solvent and adhesive (20% of time spent).
* Ability to retrieve, input, access and send information via computer.
* Ability to work flexible, extended hours for month end or quarterly close and physical inventory.
